Intriguing setting and clever puzzles

The Escapade is a series of card-based escape games. Each instalment in the series comes with a unique twist.

In The Anthropoid, the twist is that each of the chapters of the game is composed of diorama-like arranged
cards. Solving puzzles can change the scene and lead to the ultimate solution. The Anthropoid is set in WW2  Czechoslovakia with players acting as Resistance fighter who ultimately plays their part in the assassination of  Reich’s deputy protector, Reinhard Heydrich.

In The Iron Curtain, the twist is that resolving puzzles allows players to create a map. That’s because the
story of the game is set in 1975 and the players are trying to help Pavel – an ordinary citizen – to carry out the daring plan. Escape the communist Czechoslovakia and find freedom behind the Iron Curtain.

In R.U.R. the twist is the game material. The cards are made of transparent plastic and many of the puzzles in
the game use this material to their advantage. The setting and the story of the game are inspired by a screenplay by Karel Čapek in which robots take over the Earth.
