SEVERTON

Severton, designed by Vlaada Chvátil and illustrated by Miguel Coimbra, is 1 to 5 player cooperative game set in the eponymous mysterious and dangerous district inspired by Old Prague. The players will become a group of teenagers, trying to uncover dark mysteries surrounding this neighbourhood. The game consists of five interconnected yet fully replayable and variable scenarios with 4 difficulty levels to beat. The players must closely cooperate and split their forces in a clever way. Divided, they’re easy prey for groups of patrolling Vonts, however, as a group, they’re much more likely to draw their attention. Balancing between these two approaches to solving Severton’s challenges is a key to success!

Severton is set to be released at Spiel Essen this October.

DIRT & DUST

Dirt & Dust, designed by co-designer of Kutná Hora Petr Čáslava and illustrated by Jakub Politzer (Lost Ruins of Arnak, SETI, Adrenaline and more) is game for 1 to 4 players that offers way different experience than other racing-inspired games. The core of the game lies in fine tuning your vehicle (your deck of cards) and balancing risky and safe driving in order to keep your car on the track (and score as many points as you can while doing so). There is not much direct interaction between players in Dirt & Dust (as there is not much interaction in the real rally championships), but the excitement and tension is still through the roof.

Dirt & Dust will premiere on GenCon in August.

GARDEN LAKE

Garden Lake is a tile-laying game from Uwe Rosenberg, illustrated by Jindřich Pavlásek. for 1 to 4 players. The goal is to fill your game board – pond full of koi fishes and water lilies as much as possible, because you get points for each full row and column. However, the tiles are quite tricky and you can only choose the ones from the edges of your display and displays of the neighbouring players. During the game, you can additionally unlock new titles by covering selected areas of your game board.

Garden Lake is very approachable family game that will be released in August.

TEA GARDEN: PUER

A most requested addition is a solo mode, but it’s even better – although the printed components for solo mode are part of the Puer expansion, Albi has also made them available for free as PnP, which you may download here.
